HP’s new EliteBook X laptop features AMD Strix Point APU, up to 128GB of LPDDR5X-8533 memory

Tl; HP -ov EliteBook X G1A Laptop contains AMD -ov Ryzen AI 9 HX 375 “Strix Point” APU with 12 nuclei, 24 threads up to 5.1 GHz. It includes 128GB of LPDDR5x-8533 LPDDR533, first for laptops. The integrated Radeon 890M GPU is based on RDNA 3.5. Laptop supports memory speed of 8533 mt/s.

HP’s new EliteBook X G1A LAPTOP will be presented by AMD’s new Ryzen AI 9 HX 375 “Strix Point” APU and Bonkers 128 GB LPDDR5X-8533.

This is the first laptop to contain 128GB of LPDDR5x-8533 LPDDR533, as noted by the x @anhphhuh user with HP with HP, which offers several different configurations of its new EliteBook X G1A laptop. The highest grade configuration finds AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 375 “Strix Point” APU with 12 nuclei and 24 threads up to 5.1 GHz, but there is also an option for Ryzen AI 7 Pro 360 “Strix Point”, also.

On the GPU side, we got an integrated 3.5 integrated Radeon 890m GPU inside the Strix Point APU, but a laptop comes with a huge 128 GB of RAM, no matter what APU decides. ANHPHUH Note on X that all three main producers of DRAM have only 128 GB X32 modules, not 256 GB X32, and that the 28GB memory option is only available due to a 256GB X32 module.

However, while the Strix Point APU can support up to 256 GB of LPDDR5X memory, the maximum speed I can support is 8000 MT/S. The new HP -LIGA EliteBook X G1A specifications look at support on the official website of HP for a higher frequency 8533 MT/s, which is still more difficult when the memory capacity increases (in this case up to 128 GB).

We will have to wait for AMD and HP to comment on this question, to see if Strix Point can really support 8533 MT/S, but see 128 GB LPDDR5X-8533 would be impressive within the EliteBook X1 G1A Laptop.
