Acer has specifications and upgrades screen for its top -notch Predator Helios 18 and 16 laptops that come later this year.
Announced on CES, Predator Helios 18 AI Gaming Laptop now has a mini-model mini LED screen that can be switched between 4K with a refreshment rate of 120 Hz or 240Hz when running at 1080p. This maximum refreshment speed is actually smidge slower than its predecessor 250Hz WQXGA Mini LED (2560 x 1600), but it could be worth it for people who want to enjoy and play 4K resolution and high staff speed on one device. Predator Helios 18 AI can reach up to 1,000 brightness sins and support Nvidia G-Sync to prevent displacement of screen, stuttering and lagging intake.
Internal specifications have also been upgraded, with configurations that offer to Intel 15. Gen Core Ultra 975HX processor, Nvidia Geforce RTX 5090 Mobile Graphics, 192 GB DDR5 Memory System and 6TB PCIE gene 5 SSD storage. In particular, RTX 5090 GPU is at least partially responsible for turning on “AI” in the updated laptop name, which supports over 150 optimized AI applications for things such as LLMS, creating pictures and more, according to Acer. Predator Helios 16 AI also received some generational improvements, including an OLED 2560 x 1600 OLED display with a refresh speed of 240 Hz. It can be configured with the same processor and GPU as its higher colleagues, with up to 64 GB RAM -AI 4TB PCIE GEN 5 SSD storage. In June, shelves in the US will hit, with prices starting at $ 2,299.99.
Both models also contain mechanical keys and ownership fans of the Aeroblade Metal for Thermals, which Acer says can increase air flow by up to 20 percent compared to plastic fans. Although both models include support for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3, the selection of connections is now limited to two Thunderbolt 5 ports-which could be restrictively depending on the existing peripheral device and toy accessories.
